SafeRides is a free, confidential service for LGHS students who need a ride home, regardless of their circumstances. It runs on Friday nights from 10pm to 1 am. SafeRides is sponsored by CASA and is run primarily by high school students.
Anyone can volunteer as a dispatcher or navigator for SafeRides. SafeRides is a fun and easy way to spend your Friday nights and for students to accumulate community service hours. If you are interested in volunteering, come to a one-hour training session at Cafe Hope at the United Methodist Church next to LGHS.
Fall training dates: Wednesday, Sept 21st at 2:15pm, Thursday, September 22nd at 7:30pm, Friday, October 7th at 8:30pm, Friday, October 21st at 8:30pm

Our semi annual medication disposal day is Saturday, October 22nd from 10 am to 2pm at the LG Parks and Public Works Service Center. Please drop off your expired or not needed medication and/or batteries, cell phones, and eye glasses for this CASA and Los Gatos/Monte Sereno Police Dept sponsored event.

Hope everyone is enjoying a healthy summer. The school information packets have been sent out. Please look for our CASA flier in your school’s packets. If your child is attending Los Gatos High School, please turn in your donation/volunteer form at Wildcat days on Thursday 8/11 and Friday 8/12. We are excited to continue our many programs to help promote the healthy life styles of our children in our community. This includes: Red Ribbon Week Celebration, Under 21 open mike nights, Saferides, monthly meetings with speakers, drug awareness, parent education, grants and scholarships, and special events. You can help support these valuable programs by donating, volunteering, and coming to our monthly meetings held the 2nd Thursday of each month from September to May from 8:30-10am primarily held in the Community Room at LGHS. Please help us support these valuable programs as we begin our 32nd year serving our community. See you at our first meeting on September 8th!
