The Growth Mindset Revolution: How to Improve Learning in School and Life. Presented by Professor Jo Boaler on Thursday, March 17th from 7-9:00pm at the LGHS Theatre.
Dr. Boaler will share the latest brain science that sheds important new light on the best ways to learn math. She will discuss the teaching techniques that support inquiry-based math and help students develop the growth mindsets that will help them in school and in life. Dr. Jo Boaler is a Professor of Mathematics Education at Stanford University and co-founder of youcubed.org.

Please join us this Thursday, March 10th for our next CASA meeting where our topic will be “Eating Disorder Prevention and Awareness.” Our special guest speaker will be Dr. Nancy Haug. Dr. Haug is a full professor and core faculty in the PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium and Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Standord University School of Medicine. She also serves as Research Director and clinical supervisor at The Gronowski Center, a training clinic for doctoral students. Thank you Stephen Johnson (Director of the Department of Education and Markkula Center for Applied Ethics at Santa Clara University) for speaking at our February meeting. This was a well attended meeting with an important topic, “How to Raise an Ethical Child”. Stephen is an engaging speaker with years of experience and helpful advise.
